"The first of April, some do say,
Is set apart for All Fools' Day.
But why the people call it so,
Nor I, nor they themselves do know.
But on this day are people sent
On purpose for pure merriment."
~Poor Robin's Almanac, 1790~
Yes, we’re off for another merriment again on the M69/M1/M18/M62/A64. It is going to be a 3+hour trip, 253.5 km to the seabird tower block of Bempton Cliffs. We have been vowed by the shots taken there on Flickr. I took the day off today so that we will be the early birds there :-0.
The bird and visitor population will be maximised in May. We are keeping our fingers and toes double-crossed that by being here earlier we will miss the crowds. If everything’s ok, we might spend the night here and continue our adventure. We just have to wait and see how’s Babe feeling. I’m soo excited. More when we return.
And this is what I’m hoping
"A gush of bird song, a patter of dew
A cloud and a rainbow's warning;
Suddenly sunshine and perfect blue
An April day in the morning!"
~Harriet Prescott Spofford~
Have a lovely weekend.
